Dame Helen Mirren shimmered on the red carpet in a silver floor-length gown at the BAFTA Britannia Awards in Los Angeles.
Mirren joined a host of British stars for the Hollywood version of the awards ceremony to present Helena Bonham Carter with the award for British Artist of the Year.
And in true British style, Bonham Carter told the star-studded audience her father's career advice was: "Keep buggering on."
Fellow British actor Alan Cummings also attended the evening at the Beverly Hilton Hotel along with Warren Beatty, Ben Stiller and BAFTA LA chairman Nigel Lythgoe.
The event featured a surprise video message from Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson for British director David Yates, who won the John Schlesinger Britannia Award for Excellence in Directing.
The man behind Toy Story, John Lasseter, received the award for Worldwide Contribution to Filmed Entertainment from Robin Williams.
Warren Beatty took home the Stanley Kubrick Britannia Award for Excellence in Film in the final presentation of the night.
The BAFTA Britannia awards were launched in 1987, recognising the links between Hollywood and British production. |
